THE ARTIST

My artistic practice extends beyond personal exploration; it is a dialogue with the Anima Mundi, the soul of the world, engaging with the cultural and collective psyche. Carl Jung (1968) describes the Anima Mundi as the intrinsic connection between all living things, embodying the unity of psyche and the material world. In my work, I seek to honor this living, breathing essence that links individual souls to the larger cosmos. I believe that art carries an ethical responsibility: to reflect, nurture, and deepen our relationship with nature, the collective unconscious, and each other. Every piece I create emerges from this interconnected space, inviting viewers to pause, reflect, and reconnect.

Free the Phoenix is more than a title, it is the story of my life. I have experienced pivotal moments that have launched me into new chapters, and time and again, I find myself a phoenix rising from the ashes. While each chapter has been unique and filled with both challenges and adventures, the one constant throughout my evolving journey has been art and the act of creating. Art is my refuge, my foundation, and my sanctuary. It has taught me to confront without fear, to sit with what is uncomfortable, and to give form to the unexplainable.

Whether I am painting in my studio, or reflecting through the lens of depth psychology, my creative process is fueled by a desire to share this healing tool. Art saved me, it offered me a way to heal, to thrive in the face of adversity, and to transform pain into something meaningful. Through my work, I strive to inspire both myself and others, not by providing answers but by creating experiences that invite contemplation, emotion, and presence.

At the core of Free the Phoenix are my guiding values: integrity, community, and culture. These principles ground my practice and remind me that art is both personal and universal.
